Clark Society Event: Contemporary Artists' Books

Thursday

December 7, 2017

6:00 PM-8:00 PM

Library

Little-known among the Clark’s holdings is the library’s collection of contemporary artists’ books.

Library Director Susan Roeper and Collection Development Librarian Terri Boccia invite Clark Society members for an after-hours exploration of some of their favorite volumes designed and created by notable artists such as Sophie Calle, Mark Dion, Richard Long, and Angela Lorenz, among others. This is an opportunity to study up-close these thoughtful and finely crafted books, and to learn about the artists who created them.

A reception follows in the Reading Room.

Reservations required. Call 413 458 0425 or email [email protected].
