For Immediate Release
November 23, 2005
The Boston-based Innovata brass quintet will bring the spirit of the season to the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute on Saturday, December 10. The program, “Holiday Brasstacular,” will begin at 8 pm in the Clark’s auditorium. Tickets are $15 ($12 members) available at the door, or by reservation at 413-458-0524.
Innovata’s "Holiday Brasstacular," a musical treat for the entire family, includes seasonal favorites sprinkled with music from the Renaissance through foot stompin' Dixieland and jazz. All of this is topped off with the unique and highly acclaimed music of Innovata composer Sanae Kanda.
Founded in 1998, Innovata has been heard throughout the northeastern United States and Canada, including performances in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Montreal.
The concert is presented as part of Williamstown’s Holiday Walk Weekend of festivities with traditional New England flair, including old-fashioned caroling, a parade, horse-drawn carriage rides, a penny social, holiday movies and more. During regular museum hours (10 am to 5 pm) on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, the Clark museum shop will be open for holiday shopping with a special discount for Clark members.
The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is free November through May. Admission June 1 through October 31 is $10 for adults, free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID.
