Clark Museum Shop Offers Special Holiday Discounts For Members

Coinciding with Williamstown’s Holiday Walk Weekend, the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute’s museum shop will offer a special discount to members of the Clark. On Saturday and Sunday, December 8 and 9, from 10 am to 5 pm, members will receive a 25% discount on all purchases. The shop has a vast selection of unique, educational, and fun merchandise, with items perfect for any age, from toys for toddlers to books for art lovers. Gift certificates are available.

Holiday-themed items include Advent calendars, ornaments, and a diverse selection of Christmas, Hanukkah, and seasonal greeting cards, including eye-catching three-dimensional die cut varieties.

Want to give a gift that sparkles? Choose from necklaces, earrings, pins, and bracelets, some locally made, and some twinkling of amber and Venetian glass. Art-inspired calendars, silk ties and scarves, picture frames, note card and stationery sets, framed prints, paperweights, switchplates, chocolate, and playing cards add to the wide variety of items. To coincide with the current special exhibition Consuming Passion: Fragonard’s Allegories of Love,the museum shop is offering matted prints of the Clark’s The Warrior and The J. Paul Getty Museum’s Fountain of Love. Magnets and postcards bearing Fragonard’s works are available. Hardcover exhibition catalogues from the past two summer’s blockbuster exhibitions, The Clark Brothers Collect: Impressionist and Early Modern Paintings and The Unknown Monet: Pastels and Drawings,are still available.

Williamstown’s Holiday Walk Weekend of festivities with traditional New England flair includes old-fashioned caroling, a parade, horse-drawn carriage rides, a penny social, holiday movies and more. Kick off the weekend with the Clark annual holiday concert at 8 pm on Friday, December 7 with the Renaissonics. This unique ensemble will perform a “carols for dancing” program from the court and country traditions of England, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Two leading Renaissance dancers in full costume will join the ensemble. Advance ticket purchase is encouraged as this concert often sells out.
