Walden Chamber Players to Perform at the Clark February 11

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA, (February 2, 2001) - The acclaimed Walden Chamber Players, featuring members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, will perform works for bassoon and strings at the Clark Art Institute on Sunday, February 11, at 3:00 p.m. On the program are "La Oracion del Torero" by Turina, "Cianada das sete notas" by Villa-Lobos, "Divertissement for bassoon and string quintet" by Francaix, "Six English Folk Songs" by V. Williams, Devienne's Quartet in C, and Dvorák's Bass Quintet. Tickets are $17 ($15 for members) and are available at the Clark Museum Shop or by calling 413-458-2303, extension 324.
The musicians will be Rick Ranti, bassoon, Nurit Bar-Josef and Alexander Velinzon, violin, Christof Huebner, viola, Andrew Pearce, cello, and Larry Wolfe, bass.
The February 11 performance is the first of many Sunday programs offered in connection with the Clark's spring exhibition Rossetti in the 1860s: The Blue Bower.
