ART MUSEUM
So... what do art museums do? Art museums collect, look after, and display works of art so that visitors can enjoy looking at them and thinking about them. The people who work in art museums try to find out as much as possible about the objects in their collections, the artists who made them, the collectors for whom they were made, their original locations, and what people thought about them when they were produced. This information can be presented in a variety of different ways so as to inspire delight, wonder, interest, curiosity, understanding, and maybe even creativity, as visitors explore an art museum's galleries.
