The Clark welcomes school group visits from students of all ages. Gallery talks can enhance student learning by helping students to develop skills such as observation, analysis, and reasoning. The Clark encourages students to look carefully at works of art, to think and talk about them, and to enjoy the process. This season, we welcome school groups to a gallery talk inspired by Rembrandt and Degas: Two Young Artists.
All grades / November 13 – February 5
A look at portraits and self-portraits by two artists from different times and places. This exhibition explores how an artist learns by seeing, thinking, and doing. This talk may be followed by a self-portrait drawing workshop, all materials provided. Plan for two hours if you would like to participate in the talk and the workshop. School group gallery talks and transportation to and from the Clark are free of charge. Educators wishing to arrange a school group visit should fill out this form.
