Services for Clark Fellows

Circulation
The Clark collection of 230,000 books, bound periodicals, and auction catalogs is non-circulating. Although books may not leave the library, Clark Fellows may keep books in their offices within the library. To do so, Fellows fill out a sign-out card to go on the shelf in place of the removed book.

Interlibrary Loan
A strong interlibrary loan program is available through our membership in a museum/art library consortium and OCLC, a worldwide library service and research organization. ILL requests can be made through the ILLiad online request service (accounts are created for all incoming Fellows).

Photocopying
Clark Fellows have access to a photocopying room, as well as to the library's photocopy service. Copies requested Sunday through Thursday are usually available by 10:30 the following morning.

Visual Resources
In addition to a collection of over 150,000 slides, the Visual Resources Library contains a full range of tools for accessing, editing, and presenting digital images. Reference services are available Monday through Friday during the library's public hours. Instruction in scanning, digital copystand photography, and using Powerpoint and ARTstor is available by appointment. Scholars needing images for Clark lectures may request scanning services, provided by Visual Resources staff at no charge. Staff will scan or photograph images for scholars' personal use on a fee-per-image basis. For information or appointments, visit the Visual Resources Library on the ground floor of the library, e-mail Visual Resources, or call 413-458-0512.

Orientation
A library orientation will be scheduled upon arrival.
