Clark Colloquia
The Clark continues its program of invitational colloquia—small, semi-private gatherings of researchers who wish to discuss topics of mutual interest, perhaps in preparation for a book. Recent colloquia have focused on an array of themes spanning the history and historiography of art. Mellon colloquia, such as last summer’s "The Work of Art History in the Digital Age" allow us to continue "service to the discipline" topics. An archive of Clark Colloquia is included below.
If you are interested in submitting a colloquium proposal to the Clark, we have some guidelines, and you may also discuss proposals with Aruna D'Souza. We consider proposals at two meetings a year, on April 15 and October 15. The deadlines are March 30 and September 30. We are currently scheduling events for late 2010 and 2011, and the interval between proposal and implementation, should we agree to sponsor your event, may well be two years.
