Irving Lavin

Irving Lavin is professor at the School of Historical Studies at Princeton and the author of such books as Past-Present: Essays on Historicism in Art from Donatello to Picasso and Bernini and the Crossing of Saint Peter's. He and his wife, Marilyn Lavin, spoke about the "Liturgy of Love: Themes from the Song of Songs in Cimabue and Michelangelo" in a pair of talks given separately at the Clark in 1999.
