Monique Nonne is senior researcher at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. In her twenty-year association with the Orsay, Nonne has distinguished herself with consistent, original discoveries of important archival materials. She has organized or collaborated in several important exhibitions, including Brussels-Paris (1997), Van Gogh in Paris (1988), and last year's Méditerranée. Her study at the Clark will focus on Parisian art dealers in their relations with the American art market during the second half of the nineteenth century, particularly during the years 1845 to 1914.
