Anna Netrebko and Mariusz Kwiecien star as the lovestruck Tatiana and the imperious Onegin in Tchaikovsky’s fateful romance. Deborah Warner’s new production, set in the late nineteenth century, moves episodically from farmhouse to ballroom, with a powerful snowstorm providing the dramatic setting for the finale. Piotr Beczala is Lenski, Onegin’s friend turned rival. Russian maestro Valery Gergiev conducts; Fiona Shaw directs.

Approximate running time: 244 minutes.

Tickets are $25 ($22 members, $18 students). Click here for information about purchasing tickets and to see the complete 2013–14 Met Live in HD schedule. You may also call 413 458 0524 to purchase tickets.
