Winslow Homer, August in the Country—The Sea-Shore (detail), publ. Harper's Weekly 27 Aug.1859
Saturday, June 8, 2013
Celebrate the opening of our new exhibitions, Winslow Homer: Making Art, Making History and George Inness: Gifts from Frank and Katherine Martucci, by joining us for a clambake featuring the flavors of coastal New England. The fare is reminiscent of a Homer seascape: lobster, clams, mussels, and a raw bar! Enjoy an early look at the exhibitions and cocktails at 6:30 pm, followed by remarks at dinner. Popular Williamstown band The Wandering Rocks will play sea shanties while we dine and on into the evening by the fire pit.
Tickets are $125 ($100 members).
Members of the Clark Society and Clark Contemporaries are invited to a special preview. Please call for details.
