Art in Nature Intern

20 hours per week ($11/hour)
July 9 – August 24, 2018
Position Summary
The Education and Horticultural Departments are looking for an intern to assist in developing a framework for educational programs relating to the campus.  Responsibilities include:
- Learning about our philosophy of landscape maintenance (balance between sustainability and aesthetics), our educational engagement philosophy, and the symbiotic relationship between the two

- Becoming familiar with our campus and the changes we’ve made since the museum first opened

- Learning about the outside programming that we already do and helping to staff some of our summer programs

- Researching interpretive approaches to nature (from didactic to spiritual) at other institutions

- Helping to draft interpretive materials for visitors to engage with and learn about our campus
