Preventative Practices

The health and safety of the Clark's visitors and employees is our paramount concern. As local, state, and federal authorities address and advise on public safety measures, the Clark is proactively implementing a series of preventive practices aimed at minimizing the spread of infection due to the coronavirus, influenza, and other related illnesses.

  • To facilitate social distancing, seating in our cafe has been reconfigured to provide additional space between tables. We are also restricting attendance at all auditorium events to no more than 100 people and encourage all patrons to seat themselves at a distance from others.
  • Our spacious galleries provide ample room for viewing the works on display without crowding.
  • Rigorous daily cleaning of all public spaces is on-going, with careful attention paid to surfaces surrounding our Visitor Services and Museum Store desks.
  • Frequent handwashing is being actively promoted with special signage in all restrooms reminding users to wash with soap and water for at least twenty seconds.
  • Hand sanitizer dispensers are available in public spaces.
  • Our "no refund" policy for ticketed events has been temporarily suspended to provide our guests with greatest flexibility in managing their daily activities.

The Clark is continually monitoring on-going developments and will revise its policies accordingly. For details, visit the CDC COVID19 Facts Page.
