William Satloff, second-year student in the Williams College/Clark Graduate Program in the History of Art and Pastoral on Paper curator presents a highlights tour of the Clark’s newest exhibition. The exhibition presents seventeenth- and eighteenth-century European books, drawings, and prints of idealized rural life. This tour introduces the concept of the pastoral landscape and explores how leading artists of the Baroque and Rococo periods envisioned the idyllic lives of shepherds.
