The Manton Study Center for Works on Paper welcomes artists of all experience and skill levels to find inspiration in thematic selections from the Clark’s collection of works on paper. This March, gather your courage and confront an age-old artistic challenge: the human hand. Anatomically complex and incredibly expressive, hands have fascinated and frustrated artists for hundreds of years. Enjoy an open session to participate in the tradition of copying earlier artworks or choose to practice fundamentals and explore ideas.
Basic materials are provided. Artists bringing their own supplies should note that only graphite pencils are allowed in the Study Center.
Free. Advance registration required. Capacity is limited. For accessibility questions, call 413 458 0524.
