CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS: COME TO THE VOLUNTEER FAIR AT THE CLARK

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA—Volunteering is an excellent way to become involved in local communities and learn new skills. At the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute, volunteers are a key component in visitor services—especially in one of the biggest years in the Clark’s history as it plans to open its newly expanded and renovated campus on July 4.

On Wednesday, March 5, from 10 am–noon, the Clark hosts a Visitor Services Volunteer Fair at Stone Hill Center on its Williamstown campus. Anyone interested in volunteering can drop in to learn about becoming a visitor services volunteer and meet with staff and current volunteers.

The Clark’s volunteers are front-line ambassadors welcoming visitors to explore the Institute’s world-renowned collection, exceptional special exhibitions, and public programs for visitors of all ages. Responsibilities include hospitality, wayfinding, and assisting with general information.

Those with a passion for art, an enjoyment of sharing Berkshires hospitality, and a desire to support the Clark are encouraged to stop by to learn about becoming a volunteer. Flexibility, a positive attitude, and fantastic people skills are essential qualifications. Volunteers must be willing to commit to required minimum hours; candidates who can commit to a year-round schedule will be given preference.
