DINING OPTIONS EXPANDED AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE

Choices range from elegant sit-down meals to casual to-go snacks

Williamstown, MA—The Clark’s culinary partner, STARR Events and Executive Chef Daniel Hardy have reimagined dining at the Clark, and this summer offer three distinct dining experiences featuring locally sourced ingredients. Café 7, Francine’s, and Stone Hill Café promise visitors a full range of exceptional culinary choices, from salads and made-to-order grain bowls to soups and sandwiches. Visitors will have numerous options to enjoy seated dining indoors or al fresco lunches and picnics across the campus.

Featuring seasonal items and an authentic farm-to-table experience, Café 7 offers homemade soups, delicious sandwiches, and fresh salads made with locally sourced ingredients from nearby farms. Located on the lower level of the Clark Center, Café 7 is the perfect place for lunch with a sweet treat and a La Colombe coffee or espresso. Open daily, 10 am–5 pm.

Located in the West Pavilion of the Clark Center, Francine’s is a casual summer lunch spot where visitors on the go can purchase a picnic meal or a quick snack. Tables overlook the magnificent reflecting pool, while picnic tables across the campus encourage al fresco meals. Open daily beginning July 4, 11 am–3 pm.

Stone Hill Café, located at the Lunder Center at Stone Hill, offers a selection of casual meals for dining on the terrace, which boasts extraordinary views of the Taconic Range and the Green Mountains. A new sustainable menu features a variety of grain bowls and a selection of healthy lunch options. Indoor seating in the Hunter Studio is also available. Open daily beginning July 4, 11 am–4 pm.

Visitors are always welcome to bring or purchase a picnic to enjoy at one of the picnic tables dotting the grounds and beneath the terrace at the Lunder Center at Stone Hill.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography. Acting as convener through its Research and Academic Program, the Clark gathers an international community of scholars to participate in a lively program of conferences, colloquia, and workshops on topics of vital importance to the visual arts. The Clark library, open to the public with more than 240,000 volumes, is one of the nation’s premier art history libraries. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open daily in July and August, 10 am to 5 pm; open September through June, Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
