CLARK LIBRARY TO CLOSE TEMPORARILY
No Change to Museum Galleries or Clark Center Operations
For Immediate Release
January 5, 2015
Williamstown, MA—As construction work moves into its final phase on the renovation of the Manton Research Center, the Clark Art Institute will temporarily close its library in order to facilitate completion of the upgrades to the building’s life safety and fire suppression systems. The library will be closed to the public from January 6 until late spring. Special accommodations for access to the library collection have been made for students enrolled in the Williams College/Clark Graduate Program in the History of Art.
While public access to the Manton Research Center will be closed until the project is completed, the museum galleries, special exhibitions, the museum store, and Café 7 in the Clark Center will remain open and fully operational. The Clark’s active schedule of public programs and events will continue, with no changes planned for any activities.
