FAMILY-FRIENDLY ‘SUMMER SUNDAYS’ CONTINUE AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE

Williamstown, MA—On Sundays from 1–4 pm through August 28, families are invited to the Clark Art Institute learn more about the Golden Age of Spanish nobility and celebrate the human body, exploring themes central to the Clark’s summer exhibition, Splendor, Myth, and Vision: Nudes from the Prado.
Upcoming events include:
July 31 – Human Tower Expo. Join in celebration of the Catalonian Castell building tradition by watching professional acrobats from the Boston Circus Guild attempt a three-tier human tower in two performances at 1:30 and 3 pm. Artmaking activities will also be available.
August 7 – Body, Art, and Soul. Indulge in a therapeutic massage from the professionals at Tsubo Massage, get your face or body painted, or investigate the ancient practice of body modification with a new piercing from Arte Bella Tattoo—all while enjoying the musical stylings of twice Grammy-nominated guitarist Jose Lezcano.

ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography. Acting as convener through its Research and Academic Program, the Clark gathers an international community of scholars to participate in a lively program of conferences, colloquia, and workshops on topics of vital importance to the visual arts. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm; open daily in July and August.
