FREE SUNDAY AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE FEATURES ‘THE ART OF GIVING’

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Free admission to the Clark Art Institute will be offered all day on Sunday, December 4 as part of the Institute’s “First Sundays Free” program. Families are invited to spend the day exploring the permanent collection galleries and making special gifts inspired by the upcoming exhibition Japanese Impressions: Color Woodblock Prints from the Rodbell Collection (opening December 10).

From 1–4 pm, “The Art of Giving” program invites participants to enjoy traditional Japanese koto music, make a miniature Zen garden, paint a silk scarf, and use origami to create charming presents for friends and family.

All activities and admission to the galleries are free as part of the Clark’s First Sundays Free program, which continues through May 7, 2017.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
