DRAW EN PLEIN AIR AND ENJOY ACOUSTIC MUSIC AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE

Williamstown, MA—Many artists in the Clark Art Institute’s collection often painted outdoors, including French Impressionists Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, and Claude Monet. This summer, try your hand at drawing en plein air at the Clark on Saturday afternoons, July 9 through August 27 from 1–4 pm.

Enjoy a hike up Stone Hill and pick up a complimentary drawing kit at the outdoor installation Thomas Schütte: Crystal. Special acoustic music performances will be presented by Common Folk Artist Collective of North Adams, Massachusetts at Crystal from 2–4 pm on July 23, July 30, August 6, and August 13. These events are free with paid admission.

ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm; open daily in July and August.
