CLARK ART INSTITUTE INVITES PUBLIC TO OPENING PARTY FOR SUMMER EXHIBITION
Event celebrates Splendor, Myth, and Vision: Nudes from the Prado

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Join the Clark Art Institute for a special celebration of the opening of Splendor, Myth, and Vision: Nudes from the Prado on Friday, June 10 at 8:30 pm. Tickets are $30 ($20 members); day-of-event tickets will be available for $40.

The evening of festivities includes light fare, a cash bar, and dancing with music by DJ Stacks on the Fernández Terrace overlooking the reflecting pools at the Clark Center. Guests enjoy early access to the exhibition, which opens the following day.

Splendor, Myth, and Vision, exclusively at the Clark, features twenty-eight Old Master paintings of the nude, twenty-four of which have never been on view in the United States. The exhibition examines the collecting of sixteenth- and seventeenth-century paintings of the nude at the Spanish court, explores the histories of these works and their display in the Spanish Royal Collections, and reconsiders the significant role of the nude in European art. The exhibition will be on view June 11–October 10, 2016.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
