STONE HILL FAMILY DAY AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE OFFERS FREE ADMISSION, ACTIVITIES

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Stone Hill Family Day will be held at the Clark Art Institute on Sunday, October 2 from 11 am–3 pm. Admission to the galleries is free all day, and all activities are free. The event marks the return of Kite Day, a beloved Williamstown tradition. Bring a kite to fly atop Stone Hill and celebrate the Clark’s exhibition Sensing Place: Reflecting on Stone Hill, on view at the Lunder Center at Stone Hill through October 10, 2016.
Additional activities include poetry readings, eco art-making projects, dancing, and music including the Williams Percussion Ensemble drumming circle with Otha Day. Snacks will be available for purchase.

ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography. Acting as convener through its Research and Academic Program, the Clark gathers an international community of scholars to participate in a lively program of conferences, colloquia, and workshops on topics of vital importance to the visual arts. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
