STORY SLAM AT THE CLARK ART INSTITUTE!
Public storytelling contest invites all
For Immediate Release
July 8, 2016
Williamstown, MA—The Clark Art Institute, in conjunction with Pastor Mark Longhurst of the First Congregational Church of Williamstown, presents a “story slam” on Friday, July 22 at 7 pm. The event, free and open to the public, will be held on the Moltz Terrace of the Lunder Center at Stone Hill on the Clark’s campus. The event celebrates the Clark’s exhibition Sensing Place: Reflecting on Stone Hill, open through October 10, 2016.
Members of the Williamstown community and beyond are invited to hear and tell stories that center around the topic of place. Stories about the place called home, a particularly meaningful place, or moments of feeling in place, out of place, or displaced are all welcome.
On the evening of the event, names of those interested in sharing place-related stories are chosen at random, and those selected are invited to tell their stories up to five minutes in duration. A panel of judges provides feedback and prizes are awarded.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
