CLARK ART INSTITUTE CELEBRATES YOUTH ART MONTH WITH FREE ACTIVITIES

Williamstown, Massachusetts— In celebration of Youth Art Month, the Clark Art Institute continues after-school artmaking sessions on Thursdays in March from 3–5 pm. The themed workshops, designed for fourth- to eighth-graders, are held in a special Young Artmakers Space on the lower level of the Clark Center. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are free and no registration is required; gallery admission is free for one accompanying adult. Admission for children 18 and under, students with valid ID, and members is always free.
Remaining sessions are as follows:
March 17: Live Wire – Find out if a drawing can be three-dimensional by making a wire drawing sculpture.
March 24: Fine Print – Leave your mark on the world with a new personalized stamp.
March 31: String Theory – Explore the world of fiber art with your own woven wall-hanging.

ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts. Opened in 1955, the Clark houses exceptional European and American paintings and sculpture, extensive collections of master prints and drawings, English silver, and early photography.
