CLARK ART INSTITUTE PRESENTS SCREENING OF ‘THE ARTIST’S GARDEN: AMERICAN IMPRESSIONISM’

Williamstown, Massachusetts—From EXHIBITION ON SCREEN comes The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism, a new film that will be shown at the Clark Art Institute on Sunday, April 30 at 3 pm in the auditorium. The film is based on the popular exhibition The Artist’s Garden: American Impressionism and the Garden Movement from the Florence Griswold Museum in Connecticut, widely considered a home of American Impressionism.
The story of American Impressionism is closely tied to a love of gardens and a desire to preserve nature in a rapidly urbanizing nation. Traveling to studios, gardens, and treasured locations throughout the Eastern United States, the United Kingdom, and France, this mesmerizing film is a feast for the eyes.

ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
