CAP & BELLS OF WILLIAMS COLLEGE PRESENTS PERFORMANCES OF ‘INTO THE WOODS’ AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE
April 13, 2017
Williamstown, Massachusetts—Cap & Bells, Williams College’s student theatre group, presents the musical Into the Woods, directed by Madeline Seidman, class of 2017, for two performances at the Clark Art Institute on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. Both performances are at 7:30 pm in the Clark’s auditorium.
The ensemble piece intermingles the legendary storybook characters of Jack (of Jack and the Beanstalk), Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel together for the first time in the woods, all searching for their own “happily ever after.” They come to find that wishes are chancy things—that what one covets may cause trouble for another. Writers Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine explore community reaction to disaster and the task of teaching humanity.
General admission is $10 (Clark members $8); students are $3. To purchase tickets, visit www.capandbells.org.
