‘LOOKING AND LUNCHING’ AT THE CLARK EXAMINES JOHN CONSTABLE PAINTING

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Take a closer look at a special object in the Clark Art Institute’s collection during Looking and Lunching, an afternoon of focused investigation and friendly discussion with fellow art lovers, on Thursday, February 16 at 12 pm. Ariel Kline, 2017 master of arts candidate in the Williams Graduate Program in the History of Art, examines Willy Lott’s House, an enigmatic work by British artist John Constable. The talk will be held in the permanent collection galleries in the Museum Building.

Tickets are $20 ($15 members) and include admission to the galleries, careful observation and informal discussion of the painting, and lunch provided by Café 7. Menu choices include a ham and cheddar melt on a croissant or a pear and celery salad with pomegranate and grilled sourdough. ABOUT THE CLARK

The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
