THE MET: LIVE IN HD SERIES CONTINUES AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE WITH “RUSALKA”

Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute presents a live, high-definition screening of Rusalka—Antonín Dvořák’s fairytale of love, longing, rejection, and redemption—on Saturday, February 25 at 12:55 pm. The opera will be shown in the Clark’s state-of-the-art auditorium, located in the Manton Research Center. Tickets are $25 ($22 members, $18 students) and may be purchased online at clarkart.edu or by calling 413 458 0524.
Kristine Opolais stars in the role that helped launch her international career, the mythical Rusalka, who sings the haunting “Song to the Moon.” Brandon Jovanovich, Jamie Barton, Katarina Dalayman, and Eric Owens complete the all-star cast. Mary Zimmerman directs; Mark Elder conducts. Run time is 4 hours, 5 minutes.
Now in its eleventh season, The Met: Live in HD is the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series of live performances transmitted to more than 2,000 movie theaters in seventy countries around the world. Live telecasts feature the full performance along with backstage interviews and commentary.
ABOUT THE CLARK
The Clark Art Institute, located in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts, is one of a small number of institutions globally that is both an art museum and a center for research, critical discussion, and higher education in the visual arts.
