FREE ‘STORYSLAM’ AT CLARK ART INSTITUTE WELCOMES ALL
January 10, 2017
Williamstown, Massachusetts—The Clark Art Institute, in conjunction with Pastor Mark Longhurst of the First Congregational Church of Williamstown, presents a StorySLAM on Friday, January 27 at 7 pm. The event, free and open to the public, celebrates the gift of sixty-three woodblock prints to the Clark by long-time volunteer Adele Rodbell; the prints are now on view in the exhibition Japanese Impressions: Color Woodblock Prints from the Rodbell Collection. Reservations are required. To reserve, visit clarkart.edu or call 413 458 0524.
Members of the Williamstown community and beyond are invited to hear and tell stories that center around the topic of a gift. Storytellers will relate tales of gifts that were life-changing, enriching, surprising, shocking, or delightful. On the evening of the event, names of those interested in sharing stories will be chosen at random, and those selected tell a five-minute story. A panel of judges provides feedback and awards prizes.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
