BEATLES BAND ACROSS THE POND CONCLUDES CLARK ART INSTITUTE’S SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

July 13, 2018

Williamstown, Massachusetts—Relive the magical music of the British Invasion with Across the Pond, a popular Beatles tribute band performing at the Clark Art Institute on Tuesday, July 24 at 6 pm. The free concert, the last of the Clark’s summer concert series, will be held on the lawn. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs, and picnic meals. In the event of rain, the event will be held in the auditorium, located in the Manton Research Center.

Across the Pond strives to capture the exuberance of a live Beatles show, including later songs the Beatles recorded but never performed in concert. Covering Beatles music from early rock and roll to romantic ballads and the mature songwriting of the later years, Across the Pond focuses on faithfully rendering the music of the Fab Four without trying to impersonate them.

The band, based in Hudson Falls, New York, was founded in 2006 by guitarist and vocalist Marc Clayton. Band members also include Jonathan Newell on bass, keyboard, and vocals; Tim Wozniuk on drums, percussion, and vocals; and Joe Tucker on lead guitar and vocals.
