Williamstown, Massachusetts—Horticulturist and Clark Art Institute Grounds Manager Matthew Noyes joins local beekeeper Dave Thayer for an evening walk-and-talk, “Creative Ecologies: Balancing Aesthetics and Stewardship,” on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 pm. The event is free, but reservations are required; to reserve, visit clarkart.edu or call 413 458 0524. Space is limited.
Taking place on the evening of the summer solstice, the event explores the delicate balance between aesthetic and sustainable landscape management on the museum’s sprawling 140-acre campus. Participants learn more about the flora and fauna that call Stone Hill home, as well as “Clark Buzz,” the Institute’s beekeeping program that is part of the Clark’s unique approach to grounds management.
Visitors should meet outside the main entrance to the Clark Center. Extreme weather cancels this event. Wear comfortable walking shoes for varied terrain.
