A MAJOR NEW GIFT

The Clark just announced an exceptional gift from the Aso O. Tavitian Foundation that will be transformational for our collection and our campus.

Aso Tavitian (1940–2020) was a former member of the Clark’s Board of Trustees and an important collector of Early Modern Art. Through his foundation, the Clark received 331 works of art, including paintings, sculpture, drawings, and decorative arts objects and a $45 million donation to fund construction of the new Aso O. Tavitian Wing which will open in 2027–2028. Among the artists whose work will join the collection are Peter Paul Rubens, Jan van Eyck, Andrea della Robbia, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, Jacques Louis David, Angelica Kauffman, Anthony van Dyck, and Jean-Antoine Watteau. For details on this remarkable gift, read our press release.
