Photographs of Northern China
June 16–September 16, 2012

Accompanying Through ShĂȘn-kan: Sterling Clark in China is a presentation of historic photographs from Sterling Clark's 1908–09 exploration of Northern China, complemented by photographs of the same scenes captured by Chinese photographer Li Ju 100 years later. Historic and modern images will be presented in juxtaposed pairs in the Hunter Studio at Stone Hill Center, illustrating what has changed—and what has remained the same—over the last century.
