Valérie Bajou is curator of nineteenth-century paintings at the Chateau de Versailles. Before her arrival in Versailles, she served as Conservateur á la Direction des Musées de France and held teaching posts at the École du Louvre and the Christie’s education program. Her publications include her monographs on Fréderic Bazille (Aix-en-Provenance, 1993), Eugène Carrière (Lausanne, 1998), Monsieur Ingres (Paris, 1999), and Courbet (Paris, 2003). Her primary focus at the Clark will be her forthcoming catalogue raisonné for the paintings of Antoine Jean Gros.
