Davide Stimilli assumes the post of associate professor of German and comparative literature at the University of Colorado, Boulder, in August of 2004. Author of Fisionomia di Kafka (Turin, 2001) and the forthcoming The Face of Immortality: Physiognomy and Criticism (Albany, 2004), he is also editor of a forthcoming selection of Warburg's unpublished writings entitled Per monstra ad sphaeram: Selected Writings, 1923-1925 (Hamburg, 2005). At the Clark he will be completing a book-length study of Warburg's work, carrying the provisional title Aby Warburg: A Philology of the Future, a work meant to articulate the dialectic of philology and divination at the core of Warburg's methodology.
