Jérémie Koering is professor of early modern art history at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. His fields of study are Renaissance art, epistemology of art history, and anthropology of images. He has published Le prince en représentation (Actes Sud, 2013); Caravage, juste un détail (INHA, 2018) with Stephen J. Campbell; Andrea Mantegna: Making Art History (Wiley, 2015) with Yve-Alain Bois; and Damisch/Schapiro, a special issue of October (MIT, 167, 2019). An English translation of Koering's most recent book, Les iconophages. Une histoire des images que l’on mange (Actes Sud, 2021), is to be published by Zone Books in 2023. At the Clark, he will complete an essay on Meyer Schapiro’s drawing practice.
