Neeraja Poddar

Neeraja Poddar is curator at The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, and a research fellow of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies. Her research focuses on early modern South Asian painting, and she has published articles on the translation and circulation of narrative, relationships between text and image, and the materiality of books. Poddar recently curated "Mewar Photographs, 1857-1947: A Glimpse into the Archive" (2018), and co-curated the reinstallation of the South Asian galleries at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2016), where she was a postdoctoral fellow. At the Clark, she will be working on a catalogue of the silver collection of The City Palace Museum, Udaipur.
