The Corning Museum of Glass is the world's foremost authority on the art, history, and science of glass. Established in 1951 by Corning Glass Works (now Corning Incorporated) as a gift to the nation for the company's 100th anniversary, the museum's permanent collection boasts over 50,000 objects spanning 3,500 years—from a portrait of an ancient Egyptian pharaoh to contemporary sculpture. In addition to the most comprehensive collection of glass in the world, the museum's campus in Corning, New York includes the Rakow Research Library, the foremost library on glass, and the newly expanded Studio, a premier international glassmaking school.

Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country of New York State, the museum welcomes over 300,000 visitors from around the world. Guests can enjoy daily live glassblowing demonstrations by seasoned contemporary glass artists. Children 17 and under receive free admission to the Museum.
