DIRECTIONS

The Clark Art Institute is located on South Street, one-half mile south of the junction of Routes 2 and 7 in the center of Williamstown. Approximate mileage from selected cities:

Directions from the South
Take the Taconic Parkway north to Route 295 east.
Take Route 295 to Route 22 north.
Take Route 22 north to Route 43 east.
Take Route 43 east to Route 7 north into Williamstown.
As you enter town, Route 7 proceeds around a small rotary.
From the rotary, turn right onto South Street.
The Clark is on the right about one-half mile down South Street.

Directions from the North
Take Route 7 south into Williamstown.
At the intersection of Routes 7 and 2, turn right.
Proceed all the way around a small rotary past the Williams Inn and the public library.
Turn right onto South Street.
The Clark is on the right about one-half mile down South Street.

Directions from the East
Take the Massachusetts Turnpike west to Exit 2 (Lee).
Turn right off the exit ramp onto Route 20 west toward Lee/Pittsfield.
Follow Route 20 west to Route 7 north into Williamstown.
As you enter town, Route 7 proceeds around a small rotary.
From the rotary, turn right onto South Street.
The Clark is on the right about one-half mile down South Street.

Directions from the West
Take Interstate 87 north to Exit 7 (Route 7 east).
Follow Route 7 east to Route 278.
Turn right onto Route 278.
Follow Route 278 to Route 2 east.
Take Route 2 east to Williamstown.
As you enter town, Route 2 proceeds around a small rotary.
From the rotary, turn right onto South Street.
The Clark is on the right about one-half mile down South Street.

Transportation:

Plane
Albany International Airport, served by several major airlines, is about a one-hour drive from Williamstown. Nearby, Harriman (North Adams) and Pittsfield, Massachusetts airports provide access for small private aircraft.
Car rental agencies are available at the Albany airport. Taxi and private car services are also available.

Train
Amtrak offers frequent service from New York’s Penn Station to Albany/Rensselaer (about an hour from Williamstown) or to Hudson, New York (about an hour and fifteen minutes from Williamstown).
Daily Amtrak service is also available from Boston’s South Station to Pittsfield, Massachusetts (about 30 minutes from Williamstown).
Metro North service is available from New York’s Grand Central Station to Wassaic station in Amenia, New York (about 90 minutes from Williamstown).
Car rental agencies and/or taxi service are available at each train station.
Bus service to Williamstown is also available from New York, Boston, and other New England cities via Peter Pan or Megabus.
