This four-page pamphlet ends with a list of names of twenty-four women who endorsed the declaration and a plea for others to support it by visiting or writing to the National Woman Suffrage Association and adding their names. Five women—Susan B. Anthony, Matilda Joslyn Gage, Sara Andrews Spencer, Lillie Devereux Blake, and Phoebe W. Couzins—presented a copy of the document to Senator Thomas Ferry at the 1876 World’s Fair, after which they proceeded to a nearby empty platform where they read the entire document aloud to a growing crowd and handed out copies.
